We decided for this hotel – Hotel International & Terminus – since it was one of the cheapest options when we booked our accommodation. We made our reservation in this 3-star hotel, for a double room including breakfast, using as normal the website booking.com. We always try to book our accommodation with breakfast and, especially in this occasion, since we already knew the prices for breakfast outside the hotel would be higher than normal.
The location couldn’t have been better – less than 5 minutes walking distance from Cornavin train station, of many bus stations, supermarkets, restaurants and from the Lake Léman. I really think it was the perfection location.
- Room and Breakfast
The room was big, cleaned and confortable. A bit too noisy for us, but in the end it didn’t bother us, and we couldn’t expect different when we were in the city centre. Regarding the breakfast, my husband thought it was below average. I think personally for the price we paid it was OK. It was a normal continental breakfast that included hot drinks, juices, bread, croissants, cheese, jams and cold meats. Obviously we have had better breakfasts in other hotels, but again we have to remember we were in one of the most expensive countries in the world and in this case in a 3-star hotel. We couldn’t complain at all.
Apart from that I will also mention that this hotel provides a free gym for hosts – I don’t think I have to say we were never close to the area. They have also a restaurant “The Veranda” opened lunch and dinner (we didn’t try it though).
Overall I was happy with our choice and I wouldn’t mind to stay here again.
In any hotel in Geneva during your check-in it should be handed to you a “Geneva Transport Card” so you can have access to free public transportation during your staying. If they don’t do it – ASK for it.
