Portugal – Porto

Porto, the undefeated city. “A cidade invicta” in portuguese. Porto is the second biggest city of Portugal and for many the most beautiful of the country. I have lived in Lisbon almost my entire life so obviously the capital has a special place in my heart. Despite that, for me, Porto is an amazing city with so much to offer that is impossibly to not enjoy yourself while walking on the traditional narrow streets or eating delicious food or resting next to the river Douro. Porto is most known for its historic buildings, production of Porto Wine and Francesinha, a traditional dish that will make you droll.

I have already visited this city 4 times and there is always something else to see, to experience, to live. It is hard to choose from Lisbon or Porto when I am asked which city is the best one to visit, so if you can visit both do it and see for yourself which one you prefer.

All the places that I am putting next are places that are very traditional of this region of Portugal and they will put in contact with the true spirit of the Porto.
