Dublin – Accommodation

Our review

Our hotel was beautiful and our room amazing. We stayed in the Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin Hotel a 4-star hotel right in the middle of Dublin.

Negative and positive points

  • Our Room

I actually don’t have anything negative to point it out. The reception was stunning, the bar area very classy, our room spacious, clean and with a modern decoration that made our staying very comfortable.

  • Breakfast

Added to that the breakfast had a good variety of choices including cereals, fresh fruit, English breakfast, different types of breads and pastries that were delicious (I ate more than a few, I confess).

  • Drinks at the bar

You should also try the Irish Baileys (very tasty) if you ended up sitting in the bar area.

Location

The location was perfect – you could walk easily to the main touristic points; it is from this street the excursions around the city depart (bus or walking tours) and there are loads of restaurants, pubs, cafes and stores along O’Connell Street. It is also in this street where you can find one of the big symbols of Dublin, “the spire of Dublin”, a 120-meter-high stainless steel sculpture of a needle-shape.

Reservation

We booked our hotel through the website booking.com. Double-room with breakfast included.
