Edinburgh – Tips and Ideas

  • How to get to the city?

Edinburgh Airport is a bit far from the city centre. The cheapest and most comfortable way is to get the Tram. The ticket’s price is around £5, and it stops in many different locations in the city.

If, by any chance you get here by train, you are lucky because Edinburgh train station is quite central so you shouldn’t have problems.

  • If you have more time off!

We haven’t got yet an opportunity to do what I am about to tell you now, but it is in our list of travels to do. If you have, let’s say 2 weeks off, spend some days in Edinburgh and then rent a car and travel around Scotland. Visit cities like Aberdeen and Inverness and climb the many hills that you can find in the Highlands of Scotland. As I said, it is in our future plans, because I have been told it is well worth it, and the pictures online says that too. Beautiful and breath-taking landscapes with hidden charming castles that is what you will find.

If you do this, choose late Spring months like end of May or middle of September – you will get better weather (presumably) and the colours and light of your photographs will be amazing.
